Irwin Liebman is a bilingual member of the Barreau du Québec since 1974. He represents clients in multiple practice areas focusing on civil and commercial law, including banking law, employment law, insurance law – including product and professional liability matters, municipal liability and responsibility of brokers, directors and officers, class actions, criminal, penal, statutory and regulatory law, shareholder disputes, immigration, family, pharmaceutical law, and penal and price fixing litigation and franchising. He is interested in civil liberties and human rights, and has pleaded before every Court level in the Province of Québec, including the Federal and Supreme Court of Canada and administrative tribunals. Irwin has advised numerous clients in complex cases, including crisis management and methods of avoidance of serious disputes. His clientele includes large and small companies and individual persons dealing with personal or business issues.
Irwin, a member of McGill Debating Team, graduated from McGill University in Economics and Political Science in 1969, and obtained his B.C.L. law degree from McGill University in 1972. He has lectured at McGill University and served on various committees of the Barreau du Québec.
